Promising Young Woman


Estée Lauder is an American multinational manufacturer and marketer of skin care, makeup, fragrance, and hair care products. Eponymously named after TIME Magazine’s 1998 list of the 20 most influential business geniuses of the 20th century, I can learn a lot from Estée Lauder as a young woman with business ambitions of my own.

The Challenge

The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has a large brand stable with many popular brands, including Bobbi Brown, Estée Lauder, M•A•C, Clinique, Smashbox, Jo Malone, and La Mer.

Based on their global footprint and marketing strategy, the challenge was to adapt email campaign designs and/or alter provided designs that had been provided by branches in other countries to suit a local market. The demands of the diverse brand portfolio and various departments were matched by the challenge to create high-converting HTML based email campaigns.

Brief Execution

Using tools such as Braze (which deals with customer-centric interactions between consumers and brands in real-time) and Everlytic (a leading marketing automation company that originated in South Africa), I was able to create engaging email campaign designs that were as fashionable as Estée Lauder herself.
